Hello Dolphin Families!!

With our first meet behind us we are rolling and picking up steam! Next week will include a new practice schedule, our team picture, our meet @ New Sherwood AND our first HOME meet, and sign-ups for City Meet. This will be a long email but please read it all so you don’t miss any of these great opportunities!

NEW PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Since school will be out next week we will start having morning practice and evening practice. We ask that you attend only 1 per day and prioritize morning practice if at all possible because we have use of the full pool. Please see our PRACTICE SCHEDULE.

TEAM PICTURE MONDAY 6/12 @ 10:00 AM

* Rain date Tuesday 6/13 @ 10:00 AM

Wear your blue team suit, if you have one! We will take the picture after the 8-10 practice finishes and before the 11 & O practice starts. 7 & U swimmers are welcome to hang around until 10:00 or go home, eat a quick breakfast and come on back.

MEET @ NEW SHERWOOD TUESDAY 6/13

Declare your swimmer IN or OUT by SUNDAY 6/11 at 12:00 PM. When you click on the link you should log into your Swimtopia account and look for the green “Meet Entry” button to make the declaration. This is the only way that coaches will know who to enter in the meet.

We have all of our volunteer jobs filled! Thank you. Remember to check in at the volunteer table when you arrive.

MOVIE & PIZZA AFTERWARDS! It is a longstanding tradition that we share pizza and watch a movie with our good friends at New Sherwood after our dual meet. It is a late night but so much fun! More info to come on Monday about pizza preorders and which movie will be shown.

"GO DOLPHINS!" TEMPORARY TATTOOS

We will be selling small blue and white “Go Dolphin!” tattoos for $1 each at morning practice on HOME meet days including THIS THURSDAY! You can bring cash or pay by Venmo. We also have additional team shirts available in Adult S and youth sizes if you would like to purchase one for a sibling!

FIRST HOME MEET THURSDAY 6/15

Declare your swimmer IN or OUT by TUESDAY 6/13 at 12:00 PM.

There are a handful of volunteer slots open. Please sign up to volunteer by clicking on the green “Job Signup” button conveniently located next to the button where you declared your swimmer.

THEME: LUAU! Swimmers and volunteers will receive a lei upon arrival but everyone is welcome to add more to their attire…..grass skirt, Hawaiian shirt, etc.

DOLPHIN DOLLARS: New this year, heat winners in individual events will receive a “Dolphin Dollar” that they can redeem at the Snack Shack for a prize.

TYDE STROKE CLINIC SATURDAY 6/17

The Y’s competitive swim team will come to Peace Haven to offer a free clinic for our Dolphins.

* 8:30-9:15 AM 7-10 yo - focus will be on breaststroke and butterfly.

* 9:15-10:00 AM 11&O - focus will be on turns and breaststroke/butterfly

Register by Friday 6/16 at NOON if your swimmer would like to attend.

CITY MEET JUNE 23rd @ Bolton Pool

City Meet is a fun meet open to all teams in the area. This is a great opportunity for your swimmer to try a new event AND parents can swim too! This year’s theme: FINDING NEMO!

* 10 and under - Warm up at 9 a.m. Meet starts at 10 a.m.

* 11 and over (this means parents too) - Warm up at 1:30 p.m. Meet starts at 2:45 p.m.

Each swimmer may choose up to 4 individual events. Coaches will enter swimmers in up to 2 relays. You will be able to register and order a meet shirt through our Swimtopia site. MORE INFO COMING SOON!!!
