Hello Dolphin Families!!

Hard to believe we are half-way through our swim season, 4 swim meets complete!! The season goes fast and we have a LOT of important things coming up next week AND beyond! Please read this email!!

PRACTICE FRIDAY 6/23 - Even though we will have many swimmers participating in City Meet we will still hold practice as usual on Friday morning.

MEET @ HOME vs SHERWOOD SHARKS on TUESDAY 6/27

Declare your swimmer ATTENDING or NOT ATTENDING as soon as possible and by SUNDAY 6/18 at 12:00 PM at the latest. It would help Coach Frances if you can declare ASAP. There are still many volunteer slots open. Please sign up to volunteer!

THEME: NEON All swimmers and volunteers will receive a glo bracelet. Bring out all your best neon gear! There will be a PRIZE TO THE BEST COSTUME! Congratulations to Brynn Collet for best pirate costume on Tuesday!

ITEMS FOR SALE 

We will continue selling temporary tattoos for $1 each at morning practice on meet day and at the volunteer check in table. We also have extra PH caps available for $5 each and 2023 T-shirts in youth sizes or $15. You can bring cash or pay by Venmo.

COACHES GIFTS 

We like to present our wonderful coaches with a cash gift each at the end of season party. Please consider making a contribution by Venmo to our treasurer - Anson Adams - @ansonaadams - last 4 digits of phone number - 7041. Or by giving cash or check - PHCA - to Ashley or Katie.

FINALS 

GFSL Finals are on July 10th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. While this can be logistically challenging considering that the meet consists of 2 sessions on a Monday, we want to encourage ALL Dolphins families to be available to participate. It is a GREAT experience swimming with all teams in our league at a world-class facility. And no matter the weather - even with thunder - the meet will go on at the GAC!

Sometimes families are hesitant because of work/transportation issues. We assure you that with a team our size, we can network and find a way to get your kids safely to and from the GAC.

Every team is allowed 3 swimmers in each individual event and two relays per event. Even if you don’t think your child “will qualify” for Finals, we ask that you PLEASE make your swimmer available to swim. We need many swimmers to fill out our relays and have alternate spots. More information about Finals will be coming soon.

Save the Date for July 11th 6:00-9:00 p.m.! Dinner, ice cream, awards and swimming at the pool! We will keep the pool open an extra hour for swim team only: parent/family/coach relays and games!
