Meet #3: Peace Haven vs Brookberry @ HOME - Tuesday, June 18th

MEET THEME: WESTERN! Dust off your cowboy hat and boots and get ready to dance the Cotton Eyed Joe. Swimmers and volunteers will receive a Western style slap bracelet upon arrival. A prize will be given to the best dressed Dolphin!

The Brookberry Fins are coming to Peace Haven. They are orange and they get noticed, yet they are just “fins”. The fin of a fish does provide stability, balance and steers them through the water. The dorsal fin of fish and shark do get some attention, yet it is only one piece. We need to remember, the DOLPHINS arrive in a blue pack! We are a family! We have enthusiasm! The Peace Haven DOLPHINS support each other and work hard in the water!!

So, get goggles, caps and suits ready for our evening. The Peace Haven Dolphins will welcome the Fins to our waters and show them how the strong DOLPHINS can swim!! GO DOLPHINS!!

4:00 PM Dolphin/Pod volunteers, Lead Set-up and coaches arrive and start setting up!

4:15 PM All Dolphins arrive - swimmers need to be ready to go when warm ups start!!!

4:45-5:05 PM Dolphins Warm Up

5:15 PM Timer, Stroke & Turn and Runner Meeting

IMPORTANT - Second half volunteers should come to this meeting. If you cannot make it you must check-in with Stacy Bachmann (Referee) before the second half.

HEAT SHEET - The Heat Sheet and Meet Entries will be sent out on Tuesday afternoon.

VOLUNTEERS - When you arrive, check-in at our volunteer table. You will receive instructions here on how to do your job. Please ask questions if it is your first time!

PARKING & SHARING DECK SPACE - Thank you for parking on the POOL SIDE only of Hearthside Drive. Also thank you for sharing our deck space with the visiting team by only sitting in chairs on the deep end side and by leaving the tables along the baby pool fence and the first two rows of tables open.

10 & UNDER SWIMMERS - Instruct your 10&U swimmers to remain in the Dolphin Pod with their assigned parent volunteer so they can easily be found when their next events come around.

11 & OVER SWIMMERS - These swimmers have been doing a great job getting to their races on time. Keep it up, Dolphins! Make sure to check the entire Heat Sheet.

* Let’s encourage good sportsmanship! Remind your Dolphin to stay in the water and shake hands with the other team at the end of the race. Let’s cheer for EVERYONE and never put others down - including our competitors.

CONCESSIONS - Hamburgers, chips, drinks, candy and snacks are available at the Snack Shack during the meet. PH members may charge their accounts or pay with cash or Venmo. Sunset Slush will be on deck and prefers cash but accepts cash app, card, Venmo and Apple Pay. Price is $5 for 2 scoops and $10 for a full koozie. If you bought a koozie last year, bring it and you can reuse it for $1 per scoop.

SET UP & CLEAN UP - Thank you all for doing a great job chipping in with set up and clean up. Many hands make light work! Let’s clean up together before our LAST PIZZA PARTY of the season!

PIZZA is $5 per person, $20 family max. You can prepay Jill Johnson at her Venmo - @ccjjohnson - and she will take cash and Venmo on Tuesday until 7:00PM.
